Character History:

Claire was born to Stacey and Nelson on the very warm day of June Seventeenth. She had never met her birth father, and she had only wanted to when she was a little girl. As soon as she found out she was a witch, she knew she was as special as she thought she was, finding that it really didn’t matter who her father was. She was the embodiment of perfection, knowing that she knew precisely how to play her cards. Of course, later in her years at Hogwarts, she had discovered that her birth father must have been magical as he wrote a letter to her mother, informing her of such information as he wanted to ensure that she didn’t pull Claire out of Hogwarts. Claire supposed that was nice, but completely unnecessary as her mother did whatever she wanted her mother to do.

The young girl was spoiled rotten by her grandparents and the maids, knowing how to appear to be the perfect child, when in reality, she made everyone in her age group absolutely miserable. She knew exactly how to tear down other girls so that they felt terrible about themselves but that they greatly respected her opinion and thought she was the sweetest, only meaning to help make them more perfect. Taking after her mother’s present habits, she’s hardly in a relationship long, only using boys, and now men, however she seems fit to her personal needs. Her mother has been married eight times, divorced eight times, and is now dating a new potential husband. Twice, the young Claire had come home for the summer to find out that her mother had married to a complete stranger to Claire. It had really become something she was used to, not seeing anything wrong with it. Out of each marriage, her mother was able to obtain much that she desired, nearly leaving the blokes dry.

Now, Claire has been married twice, divorced both, and has taken all that they had, following almost directly in her mother’s footsteps. In a family where wealth is all that matters, Claire is sure to make them proud, looking for her next wealthy victim.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Claire really doesn’t care about other people so when it comes to the treatment of Death Eaters and their families, she doesn’t care at all as it does not personally affect her.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Claire herself wasn’t all that affected. Although she was a muggleborn, she hadn’t been attacked herself. The death of Voldemort was…there, she supposed. Again, she found that she really couldn’t care about what had happened though she had to at least pretend that she was affected.

Family History:

Stacey had been born to two wealthy parents who had hired a butler, nanny, and chef so that Stacey was taken care of. Her father was almost always away on business, whatever it was that he did, and her mother was always living life as an elite, not really seeing the purpose in having a daughter until her daughter was old enough to join her in the elite living. When Stacey was 18, she found out she was pregnant, leading her to elope with the father who was a boy that lived a few blocks over. He was not as wealthy as her parents would have liked and they forced her to divorce him, saying that he was not in their circle. Stacey, not wanting to lose the money they provided for her, divorced from Nelson just before the baby was born.

Nelson was not necessarily poor, but his parents hadn’t been even half as rich as Stacey’s parents. He had to work for what he had. He always had a crush on the wealthy, lonely looking girl from a few blocks over. After a chance occurrence, they conceived and married for a brief time, divorcing shortly thereafter. Not wanting to be involved in the child’s life since it was what she wanted, he moved on with his life, marrying another woman and never even knowing what his daughter looked like.
