General Appearance: Sophia stands at 5’5” and has large bright blue eyes. She has blonde hair that falls past her shoulders that she wears up or out depending on what she has on for her day. However when she’s working, she wears it up just allowing her fringe to fall normally. She has an athletic body. She has a small elephant tattooed on the inside of her left wrist.

Weaknesses: Her memory fails her at the most inconvenient of times, Cooking – though she hopes to get better at it and move on from just making grilled sandwiches.

Character History:

Sophia was the result of a one night stand her mother had with wizard after drinking too much. Born in the late autumn of 1993, she was treasured and loved all the same by her mother Bethany Huntley. She and her mother moved into a house with her mother’s older cousin who herself was a Muggle but knew all about the magical world and witches and wizards. Growing up her mother tried to provide the best for her, she enrolled Sophia at the local nursery school and then the nearby primary school in London. Her magical powers came through just before her seventh birthday but since they weren’t so strong. Her muggle grandfather also introduced her to cameras and photographs around this time

When she was nine and her mother had met a man named Erik, Sophia became a little weary of the man, not completely trusting for a full six months even if he too was a wizard. Soon enough he gained her trust and she starting calling him dad instead of addressing him by his first name. He was also the one who taught her how to fly while also encouraging her growing love for photography.

After her mother and Erik married they had a daughter, Penelope who was born just before Sophia started at Hogwarts. Sophia was sorted into Ravenclaw just like her mother had been when was at the school. The witch came to love her younger half-sister and enjoyed spending time with her when she was home from school She was a chaser on the house team from her fourth year through to her seventh. She did date a boy in her year for her entire final year but they ended it around graduation when as he had been scouted by one of the American Quidditch teams.

She moved to France, basing herself in Paris, while she was there working for a French Magical publication she met Angelique, they started out as friends but soon it grew into a romance. She had never thought she would fall for another girl but she soon got over that and started to embrace this new relationship. While she had the support of parents in dating a girl, Angelique’s family weren’t so supportive and for Sophia’s sake she broke it off. A heartbroken Sophia returned to London with more determination to not get hurt like that again and decided to focus solely on work in an effort to not go through that heartache again.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Since she doesn’t know who her Biological dad is, she doesn’t pay too much attention to how Death Eaters or their families are treated, however if she comes into contact with them she is friendly and courteous, after all she understands that people do make bad decisions (which can affect the people closest to them) and they deserve to be treated with respect

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? As Bethany was living in a muggle neighbourhood with Sophia at the time, they were well protected from any harm. She only hoped that her daughter’s father wouldn’t track her down during this time and cause any problems. When she heart of Voldemort’s death she was relieved but still worried that Sophia’s father could show up at any time and such limited her visits into the magical world to avoid possibly seeing him.

Family History:

Bethany was born to a working class family in North London, she was the second oldest of five children. As she grew up her parents started to notice she was different from their other children with her spontaneous acts and being very creative in the drawing capacity. When she was 11 she received her letter from Hogwarts, she was both confused and shocked having no idea what this meant or what was ahead of her. However for her parents this explained a lot of things, her youngest two brothers thought it was col their older sister was wizard, however her other brother and older sister did not share this enthusiasm.

Bethany was sorted into the house of the eagles and though she loved the magical world, she struggle sometimes with believing she fit in but she still focused on her studies and excelled in school. After school she worked at Madam Malkins until she attended party that would change her life forever, that night she slept with a wizard and fell pregnant with Sophia. When her daughter was still a toddler, she moved in with her cousin who was accepting of the magical world.

Erik was born to Half Blood parents in South Africa as their only child, after attending the equivalent of Hogwarts there he graduated and started working in wand making before he moved to England and continued to work in wand making but also branched out into broom making. After dating Bethany for just shy of a year he proposed, they married and soon had Penelope.
