Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: She stands at 5’4” with wavy or straight dark brown hair that falls below her shoulders. Hazel has deep set brown eyes with fine eyelashes. She isnt’t overly sporty but still has athletic stature. Since she has grown in confidence from her first year, when she’s sure on something she’ll cross her arms and look knowingly at the person she’ll talk to. If she gets nervous, Hazel will stutter and blush at the same time.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Skills: Drawing, Cooking (slowly improving), running, good conversationalist, charms, transfiguration, Astronomy.
Weaknesses: poor flyer, is fearful of drowning and as such can’t swim. Magical creatures and quidditch, knows very little of the sport.

Character History:

As the oldest child in her family, Hazel grew up with a relatively normal childhood. Her family lived in a primarily muggle neighbourhood with both her parents being Muggleborns. She went to the nearby nursery school and around the time she started in her year one she got her magical powers. Her first case of accidental magic was when she made her younger sister’s first birthday cake explode. Her grandparents saw the funny side to but her aunts and uncles who even though knew Hazel’s parents to be magical, they were still weary of them. The summer after she turned seven she and family were out by the beach when her cousin who was the same age as her drowned. She could never forget it and still to this day has fear of drowning.

As if on cue Hazel’s Hogwarts letter arrived on her birthday. She was sad to leave her family especially her new baby brother since he was only a few months old when she left. Once she got to school she loved the place. She tried flying in her first year and found it wasn’t for her and as such prefers to keep her feet on the ground. She found her favourite subjects over the years are the same ones her parents excelled in during their time at Hogwarts, namely Transfiguration and Muggle Studies

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Hazel is aware of what the crimes of the death eaters from what her parents have told her and what she has learnt at school. Since she has many muggles in her family, she doesn’t know how to feel about death eaters but she feels they are getting what they deserved. As for their families she doesn’t know what to think.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Since her parents were at Hogwarts during Voldemort’s reign she’s glad that they survived and that her extended family were okay. Similarly her parents were happy when Voldemort was killed meaning that as muggleborns they were safer as were their families.

Family History:

Anthony Donaldson was the youngest boy in his family, he lived a very regular childhood with his three older brothers in Harrow, London. His father was a police officer and nearly lost his life on the job when Anthony was 8. His father was forced to retire much earlier than expected as result as the youngest in his family, he grew closer to his family for three years when he discovered he was wizard. At Hogwarts he was sorted in Hufflepuff and excelled in Muggle studies and Herbology achieving OWLs and NEWTS in both subjects. At his older brother’s wedding he met Marie when they were both 16. That September when returned to Hogwarts he was shocked when he came across her in the library, having no clue that they were both magical.

Marie Weston was the only daughter in her family, she lived a normal childhood with her twin brother until she was 7 and her and parents started noticing little things about her. Her brother loved sports and the outdoors, whereas Marie was very wrapped up in books. When she was nine she accidentally made her mother’s favourite purse disappear, no one was able to explain it. When she was 11 and received her letter for Hogwarts, things made sense. Marie was sorted into Ravenclaw and found a love for Transfiguration and Astronomy. She was delighted when she met Anthony and thought it was comical they went to school together for five years before they actually spoke.

They formed a friendship quickly and soon enough they started dating and soon married before moving to Wembley in London to raise their family.
