Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Vitalia stands at 5’1 and a slim 105lbs. Her dark brown locks naturally falls in soft waves around the delicate features of her face. Her eyes are a deep brown typically rimmed with kohl pencil. She walks with her head held high and a slight smile on her face.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Skills: She is good at solving problems and helping others, advice-giving, can be good at persuading people. She is good at reading body language. Since she has to go to historical sites and tombs for work, she is pretty gifted at learning languages quickly (at least the basics) as well as adapting to different cultures. She is very good in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, and Ancient Runes, clearly, since these are required N.E.W.T.s to receive in order to become a Curse-Breaker.
Weaknesses: She has a problem with procrastination on occasion, though she never actually misses deadlines; she just gets very close to it. She has difficulties letting go of an argument if she thinks that she is right, and has inherited the family trait of stubbornness which certainly doesn't help her to let go of these types of arguments easily. Outside of family, she doesn't trust people easily and can be very wary of others at first. Vitalia also often has a problem with speaking before she thinks of what she is saying. Lastly, even if she has only met some of her family less than a decade ago, she is very protective of them which is obviously both a strength and a weakness. Since she was not brought up with a big Italian family always cooking, she never learned how to, really, and has actually found that she is an absolutely awful cook.

Character History:

Vitalia was born to a hardworking woman name Diana and a pureblood conman named Eugene Ricci. Vitalia has no solid memories of her father as her mother left him upon learning of his infidelity and involvement in the mafia not wanting her two year old daughter to be raised in such an environment. A year later Eugene tried to get back in contact with Vitalia and her mom demanding to see his daughter. They were watched closely and stalked until Eugene found where they lived. After her motherly narrowly escaped an attack one night when leaving her place of employment she took Vitalia and fled New York to stay in Massachusetts. Vitalia was three years old when this occurred and has very vague memories of this all though she has no clue it was her father who had caused all the issues.

A couple of years into their stay Vitalia’s mother was offered a position at the States Ministry where she worked with a foreign delegate from England. Within a few months her mother married the man. Her step father was very loving becoming the father she had never had. She affectionately calls him her father. She attended an American school of witchcraft and wizardry from 1997-2004 graduating with high marks. A few years after she graduated her step father’s grandfather fell ill over in England. Vitalia and her mother moved out of Massachusetts to London with him.

While her mother was working in the Ministry in London she came across paperwork on purebloods being questioned, one of the people on the list had the maiden name of Ricci leading her to believe it could be a relative on Eugene’s side. It seemed she belonged to a very large, well liked pureblood family and couldn’t possibly be like Vitalia’s biological father. Vitalia’s mother contacted Contessa DiTraverso and soon the Ricci children were reunited. This was in 2007 and since has remained very close to her half-brother Gino, and half-sister Contessa.

She then got a job as a Curse-Breaker for Gringotts. This position did require travel, but since she had just been reunited with her family, she decided to continue to live in London. Instead, she would just apparate to sites as she was needed.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? She was in the States for Voldemort's reign, though of course they had heard about it there as well. Witches and wizards there did worry about it, but there was not much detail coming out about it. Because of this, when she moved to London, she did not know much about what the Death Eaters had actually done specifically, only knowing that they obviously did deserve to be punished for their crimes. However, she does not believe that the work camp is the right way of going about this. She certainly does not believe that it is far to bring in the family of the Death Eaters as well for they might not have done anything wrong at all.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Vitalia spent most of her life in the States away from the chaos caused by Lord Voldemort, though her half-sister Contessa and her family have had to endure a significant amount of backlash for their blood status.

Family History:

Vitalia’s father is originally from Italy. Not much is known about his father's parents, but it is speculated that his father had suffered with alcoholism and died very young. Eugene married a woman named Freesia right out of school in an arranged marriage seeing as they wanted to keep blood in the Ricci family pure. Not long after the marriage he had his first child, Contessa. Eugene slowly began to get heavily involved in gambling losing every bit of money the family owne, his wife fell mentally ill and left he and his daughter to fend for themselves. He married his daughter Contessa off to a wealthy pureblood Italian family. When he realized the DiTraversos weren't about to pay his debts he left for the states.

While in the States he met a young woman barely 18 and she fell pregnant with his second child, Gino. He lived a rough life in the mafia with Gino and Gino’s mother. However Eugene’s weakness for pretty women and his cunning had led him to meet a woman out in town named Diana. Diana was from a loving family who worked hard and believed there was good in everyone. She carried those same traits thinking Eugene had to have some good to him even though she knew he was from a rougher side of town. She had no idea just what kind of life he lead until shortly after the birth of their daughter Vitalia. Diana fled New York to Massachusetts a few years later, never to see the man again. She happily married and had two more children.
