Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Ellanora is a very graceful and confident vampire. At first, after being bitten, she was quite insecure and nervous, walking with her head down and having many nervous tics. However, as time has gone on, she has regained the confidence she always had as a witch, walking tall and speaking eloquently. She doesn’t get nervous often, because she finds there is not much to get anxious about. However, if something goes wrong, she shows her nerves by getting more insensitive and aggressive than she already naturally is. Her eyes are light brown, and her hair is slightly wavy and blond. She is 5'8" and 115lbs.

Character History:

Before Ella was turned into a vampire, she was an extremely outspoken girl—particularly frowned upon in the Victorian era. She didn’t like the rules and constraints for her, so she could be incredibly challenging to her parents. After becoming a vampire, she followed her sister’s rules, mostly because everything was all so new to them. But as time went on, she found those rules too restricting as well. She is very clever in getting into—but also out of, trouble, and has a very erratic nature to her. When she gets into trouble, her sister does have to sometimes come to her rescue, though Ella would never ask for help. She is too stubborn to admit when she is wrong, and definitely well never admit to needing assistance. Ella’s mood can shift at the blink of an eye—going from playful to vindictive in seconds. However, she loves her sister and would do anything to protect her, though they argue a lot. She finds ways to be as spontaneous as possible, even if that means going to extreme means to get away from her sister to pull off her stunts.

Ellanora had a relatively normal upbringing and a happy childhood. She got along well with her sister, for the most part, and her parents provided her with more than she needed.

However, she started to act out a bit when she got older, unhappy with the constraints of being a woman at that time. The man that was courting her was cheating on her, but her parents told her she couldn't break off the relationship, because of the man's high standing--he would be a good match for her regardless, they had told her, and she didn't want to accept that. The final straw for Ellanora came at a party hosted at their home, where they told her that she would be marrying the bloke. Throughout the night, she drank heavily, getting quite intoxicated and loudly complaining about her parents and her new fiancé. Her sister took her outside for some fresh air, and they unintentionally walked into a situation that changed their lives forever.

There were two vampires in a nearby alley, feeding on a couple. As they were already feeding, they were not as thirsty, but when they saw the girls walking by they turned to them instead.

The girls don't know to this day why the vampire turned them--perhaps because they were bored, or their bitterness toward humans had made them want to have someone else suffer as they did.

Immediately upon turning they realized that they could no longer go home, as it would be too much of a danger to their family. They wanted to get as far away as possible, so they begun to leave the country.

For half a century, the girls lived mostly apart of the Muggle and Wizarding world alike, doing research on vampires and trying to find more of them. In order to feel less like monsters, the pair made a consorted effort to only feed off of people who deserved it--criminals, cheaters, and the like.

It was incredibly hard on Ellanora when they finally decided to look up what happened to their parents after they left. They had originally thought it would be easier to move on if they didn't get caught up in what was happening back at home. However, when they did discover what happened, Ellanora decided that she was through with living like they had been. It was 1964 then, and the sisters were in Germany. A mixture of devastation of about her parents and her bitterness of how the Wizarding World treated vampires caused her to stray from the ways of only feeding off of criminals. She decided to be the monster that everyone already thought she was.

They traveled a lot throughout the years, not wanting anyone to notice their lack of aging. They had finally stopped living in recluse, and began to be around in public more, at night of course. Ellanora liked to keep track of every country and city they inhabited, but she was always bitter thinking back at having to leave this places.

Now, they are back in England for the first time since they fled 154 years ago. Ellanora no longer will live in solitude, and has big plans for their life in London.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? To Ella, this is as unimportant as Voldemort's reign was, or the former treatment of Muggleborns. She does not care about petty human drama, as their blood status makes no difference to her regarding the taste of their blood.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Ellanora and her sister both remained quite separate from the drama of the Wizarding World, feeling as though it wasn’t their issue to deal with. They were out of the country when Voldemort died, and didn’t particularly care one way or another about it. To them, it is irrelevant.

Family History:
Benedict and Sarah were in the same social status growing up, though they did not know each other very well. Their parents arranged a marriage for the pair and luckily for them, love did grow between them within their first year of marriage.

Benedict was a naval officer in order to provide for his family. Sarah was a witch, Hogwarts-trained and all, but was happy enough living amongst Muggles. She stayed at home with no job, but after their daughters were born within three years of each other, she found that she was well suited to motherhood and was happy staying at home with them.

For the most part, they had a happy family life, with only the occasional dramatics--usually acting out on the part of Ellanora. The night that their daughters both disappeared in 1867 marked the downward spiral of Benedict and Sarah's relationship.

Sarah fell into a deep depression for many years, never so much as leaving the house for anything other than errands. Benedict threw himself into his work, unsure how to comfort his wife and unable to accept that his daughters were gone.

He died in the Battle of Pacocha in 1877, only ten years after his daughters went missing. After that, Sarah was never seen in public again, her depression keeping her bedridden almost constantly. It is said that she killed herself sometime in the year of 1878, though no one knows exactly when.
