Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Monte stands at 5’11 and 165 pounds, all muscle. He walks at a slightly speedy pace, a welcoming expression typically plastered on his face. His mood is typically in high spirits, but that doesn’t always mean that he actually is in high spirits.

Skills: Getting along with almost anyone, holding down his liquor, chess, making a mean casserole
Weaknesses: Family (he is very protective of anyone in his family and anyone that his family decides to care about), a pretty face, matching (he swears he’s color blind (“matching deficient”) so he tends to have other people pick out his clothing)

Character History:

Monte was born fifth of six children, a decade younger than his oldest sibling. As a child, he was very active, getting into mischief wherever he could, though he learned quickly how to talk his way out of situations so that he wouldn’t get in as much trouble, if at all. His favorite hobby as a child had been to trade the Chocolate Frog Cards until he collected a variety, something he still has in store in a box under his bed. Although he has mostly matured, he still hoards some things from his past, looking through them fondly on occasion.

As he was nearly a decade younger than his two older siblings, he hadn’t seen them much during his childhood as they were away at Hogwarts while he only dreamed of his opportunity to go. There was no doubt in his mind that he was going and he was going to be successful. Finally, it came time for the youngest male sibling to attend Hogwarts, though Matteo and Bianca were there of his siblings by the time he came to attend. Eagerly, he approached that hat, shoving it on his head confidently as he knew precisely which house he wanted to go to: Gryffindor, the most honorable house in his mind. As he thought, he was quickly sorted to his preferred house, finding that to become his family away from home. While at Hogwarts, Monte stayed rather active in order to learn many trades. He had joined the Quidditch team during his third year as a Keeper, finding that protecting things was simply his favored hobby. He joined the Charms club during his second year as there was a pretty girl in that club that he wanted to meet, dating her for about three months before he broke up with her, staying in the club as he found that he rather enjoyed it. During his second year, he also joined the Dueling Club because he wanted to have an excuse to hex people, though he would mostly refrain from using the negative hexes during the actual meetings. In his sixth year, he joined the Potions Club, finding that he was starting to grow increasingly interested in the subject, though he didn’t prefer the professor that was teaching. Monte’s dating life was active, though he would wait the appropriate time period between each girlfriend…well, at least what he felt was the appropriate time frame which was generally seventeen days.

As soon as Monte turned sixteen, he worked hard during the breaks to earn enough money to provide for himself as he did not want to take on his parents money if he was capable of working himself. Upon graduation, he took six months off to travel to a few places that he had desired, enjoying the various cultures that were around the world before returning back to London, ready to settle down and start something of his life. While Monte decided what he was going to do as a career, he picked up a job as a bartender and an employee position in a potions shop to continue earning his own funds. Within a year of returning, he started as a Dragonologist but stayed there about six months before becoming a Dragon Keeper, finding that to be much more challenging.

Monte’s family was rather close knit, making the fact that his cousin had moved away to be very difficult. He hadn’t understood her motives in the slightest, but he also wanted his cousin to follow where she felt she needed to be. He liked to believe he was a bit more open-minded, though he was still slightly offended that she had left simply because it was something he couldn’t understand. When she returned, Monte was slightly bitter, though he quickly overcame that bitterness as he was just happy to have her back with the family. Unfortunately, her arrival came after the death of his older cousin Gio, his wife, and his sons, leaving only their daughter in the aftermath. The fact that this was narrowed down to being an act of pureblood hate caused Monte to grow even more protective of his family, popping by each of their residences or work places on occasion to check on them.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Monte believes that death eaters should be tried for their crimes and once they serve their time, they should be released into the world…not hidden away like slaves. He doesn’t trust the Ministry because of this treatment that they are imposing on death eaters.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? His family wasn’t negatively affected per say during Voldemort's reign, though it was not uncommon for them to hide muggleborn family and friends at their home. That stressed them out quite a bit, but they were relieved when the Dark Lord fell. They didn't have to fear for their loved ones anymore.

Family History:
Santino was born and raised in a small town in Italy along with his five brothers and two sisters. His had a very comfortable life due to the family Vineyard where they were very successful in their trade. While he grew up privileged and magical his parents were sure to teach him the meaning of a hard day’s work. He and his siblings were out in the vineyard every day to help as were his parents. He and his older brother Dimitri decided to travel after graduation, settling in London.

Nessa is the youngest child out of three growing up in the bustling city of London, her family an older Irish pureblood line. She graduated Hogwarts and immediately began doing clerical work at the ministry. During that summer she bumped into a handsome Italian bloke and had an immediate connection. Within six months of dating they married and nine months later welcomed their first son Santino Jr into the world followed in quick succession were Angelo and his 2 other brothers and sisters.
