General Appearance:
Justin has a sense of confidence, but it is sort of a mask. He struggles a lot with what he feels on the inside, but masks it with a smile and tries to come across as too tough. He plays it very cool, and will often be found sitting casually. He would never show that he was nervous. If he was nervous to give a presentation, he would be the one cracking jokes and acting as if it doesn't phase him if he totally screwed up because he "doesn't care what others think." Justin also has a Chinese background (he was adopted)

Character History:

Justin was raised in an orphanage in China for most of his life. He knows nothing of his birth family. He was able to live with a couple of families, but he was eventually sent back to the orphanage when things would somehow go missing. Music became sort of a coping mechanism for Justin as other kids in the orphanage would make him feel different since he couldn't manage to stay adopted.

When Jennifer came along to adopt him, he wasn't sure he could trust her. He was getting older and so many others gave up on him. However, Jennifer didn't and adoption was finalized. He wasn't nervous about moving to England. In fact, he was happy to be leaving this life behind and vowed that he would not allow himself to ever feel like he did in the orphanage. Although, this has proven tough because he still struggles with feelings of being inadequate. He masks these feelings as he fears that tapping into them will make him relive all of the bad memories.

Justin developed a good relationship with Jennifer. Justin has a hard time seeing her as his mom, but still refers to as such because he really respects her and what she did for him. They have bonded a lot over potions, as Justin seems to just have a natural talent for it.

He was relieved when he was told he was a wizard and it explained so much. For a while, he was very angry and wished those people that gave up on him understood. But once he went to school, he was happy around people that were like him. In fact, he was the happiest he had ever been that he wanted to leave all negative things that happened behind him. Justin tended to be avoidant of talking about his past or having serious conversations, which led to him developing a rather goofy, yet charming personality.

At Hogwarts, Justin thrived in potions, as Jennifer had taught him well. Being interested in sports, he developed a big interest in Quidditch, which didn't hurt his chances when he flirted. Yes, charming girls and flirting with them became sort of a big hobby of his. It sort of acted as a brief cure for the feeling of being "unwanted."

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Justin doesn't really care about politics, and doesn't really want to get involved in this, so he won't talk about it. However, if he had to pick a stance, he believes the death eaters should be punished, but their families shouldn't.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Being in China until he was ten years old, Justin knew nothing of Voldemort except what his mother told him. He knows he was not a good man, and his mother's family could have been in danger due to mixed blood.

Jennifer was alive for both wizarding wars. A lot of her childhood was spent in fear of Lord Voldemort as they lived in London, very close to the wars. They would have relocated to a safer city, but Jennifer's mother battled on and off with cancer so much that they didn't want to cause more stress for her. Jennifer often wondered if that's why Voldemort never came for them. Surely, she believed they would be targets as her mother was a muggle, but perhaps he believed the cancer would kill her and he wouldn't have to. When Jennifer was 10, the first wizarding war ended. She believed it was for good as she went her whole time in school without any rising of Voldemort again. Jennifer was in her mid-twenties when he rose back to power. Between the anxiety of that and the depression she still struggled with from her mother's passing, she buried herself in her work to cope and became an excellent potioneer because of it. Jennifer devoted herself to helping fight against the Dark Lord by making potions for healing and stealth to protect those who fought him.

Family History:
Jennifer Lee was born with a wizard for a father and a muggle for a mother in London. Jennifer lost her mom due to cancer while she was in her fourth year at Hogwarts. This drove Jennifer into a state of depression where she distanced herself from others and devoted herself to her work. She graduated from Hogwarts and became a master potioneer in Falmouth. In the height of the war, her dedication to her work of making potions was needed. However, after Voldemort's defeat, Jennifer continued to seem depressed and anxious. Her father eventually confronted her about her burying herself into her work, and this caused Jennifer to reflect on where her life had taken her. She realized he had pushed a lot of people away and wanted someone meaningful in her life. Jennifer felt as if she was too old for a relationship as she was already past her mid thirties, so she started to contemplate adopting.
