Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Giselle is 5’7”Tall with light green eyes with flecks of brown in them. Her hair is blonde and can be curly or straight depending on how she styles it. Likewise she wears it up or down depending on her mood or whatever she has on that day/evening. She has a slender figure which she maintains with regular exercise. In a nerve racking situation she’ll also revert to her native French accompanied by wild hand gestures.

Skills: Potions, Astronomy, Fashion Design skills, plays piano, singing, knows how to use her looks to her advantage and has a keen eye for detail.
Weaknesses: Stutters unless she incredibly confident in her present situation. Can’t cook at all.

Character History:

Giselle and her twin brother were born in Paris to Christian and Astrid Delacroix. Astrid herself was a half veela making the twins and their first born son a quarter Veela. The family of five moved to Paris from Lyon when the twins were four. Shortly after moving to the French Capital they both developed their magical powers. Like her older brother Giselle and her twin were home-schooled. She inherited her mother’s love of fashion and shopping from a young age, accompanying her on many shopping trips. Growing up in a pureblood family with rich fortune meant Giselle never new any limit where money was concerned. This continued for most of her life.

At the age of eleven she started at Beauxbatons Academy. During this time she was well liked by everyone particulary the boys in her year. This where she recognised she had power over them because of her looks using them to get help in her schoolwork or just for a little fun here and there. She also did well on her own in key subjects namely potions and Astronomy even in her major exams taken in her sixth year. In her final year she started dating one the wizards, Martin in her year and they moved into together after they graduated.

Shortly afterwards he proposed and Giselle of course said yes! That Christmas while on a Auror Training mission for the French ministry Martin was fatally wounded. This left Giselle devastated and heart-broken. After leaving school Giselle had studied fashion design under one of France’s top magical fashion designers so she was able to fall back on this after losing her fiancé. But she was never the same again, she wasn’t so frivolous but she till continued her elegant and Sophsticated ways. Her twin claimed it was because she was covering her true feelings from losing Martin and to some extent that was true. But she also found it helped her deal with his loss.

In late 2014 she moved to England with her twin and they settled in muggle London which proved to be a challenge at first since they had grown up in a home where everything was done for them but they both soon adapted and managed to secure themselves jobs.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Growing up in France Giselle wasn’t exposed to much of the war or the battle until she moved to London and saw firsthand the after effects of it. She thinks what the death eaters did was deplorable and they deserve the punishment handed to them

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Giselle’s parents were aware of what was going on with Voldemort and his followers but weren’t exposed to and didn’t agree at all with their ideals. Being in France the entire time no one in her family was affected.

Family History:
Astrid was born in Sweden as the only child in the family. She grew up with a veela mother and a pure-blooded father, she attended Durmstrang and did well there in their equivalent of Herbology, later training to become a magical herbologist. While travelling after graduation she met Christian who was training for the French ministry as an Obliviator.

Christian was born in Lyon into a wealthy pureblood family as the second son and youngest child. He and his older brother were taught that purebloods were above everyone else, something which they both later turned back on as adults preferring to see purebloods on par with other members of society. Christian attended Beauxbatons where he became a great quidditch player. He could have gone on to play professionally when he graduated but he chose to work for the ministry instead.

Christian and Astrid married two years after dating and had their first within the first year then going on to have the twins some years later.
