General Appearance: Kate stands at about 5' 6" with dark brown hair that falls in loose curls past her shoulders. She has striking blue eyes and high cheek bones. She wears her hair down more often than not and always walks like she's not expected anywhere.

Character History:

Katherin was born odd. Stuck in breach position, her mother had to have a cesarean section to bring her into the world. She was immensely curious from the start, eyes wide and always moving. Still, she was a typical baby with colic and put her parents through the wringer that first year until she settled. With how fast she was developing, her parents were a little put off when she didn't say a word until she was nearly three. Turns out, she was waiting for the opportunity to say, with perfect diction, "Mummy, I don't like peas." Suffice it to say, her parents were both awestruck and relieved in turns.

From then on, Katherin was a talkative child, always asking questions and learning with enthusiasm. Her mother insisted on putting her in a Muggle day care to encourage her social skills that were lacking. Unfortunately, Katherin still played by herself, though she didn't seem to mind her solace.

When she was five and a half, she caused the bookshelf in her room to fall over when she found herself unable to reach a book just out of her reach. She received her Hogwarts letter with a great deal of enthusiasm and demanded her parents take her to buy the books necessary right away. True to her nature, she read every textbook at least once before school began.

Early on, she found herself absolutely enthralled by Transfiguration and when she found out about Animagi, she knew she had to become one no matter what it took. She's still not entirely sure what her occupation will be when she graduates, but she's certain she'll find one she loves.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? She thinks it's horribly unfair, but she doesn't really like to concern herself with politics and isn't very current with the news.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? She was just a baby when the Final Battle happened, but she's heard that it was a terrible thing to behold. Her father kept his distance during that time, being Muggleborn, and the three of them rarely ventured into any Wizarding neighborhood until they heard of the Dark Lord's ultimate demise.

Family History:
Karl was a Muggleborn wizard born a few years before Harry Potter. He wasn't very social during his time at Hogwarts, and fled back to the Muggle world after graduating when he heard rumors of Voldemort's second rise. There he met Janine, a sweet barista who always added extra peppermint sprinkles to his latte whenever he stopped in. They dated for barely a year before Karl proposed in the very cafe that Janine worked. She took the news of his being a Wizard with admirable calm, and took in everything he told her with curiosity and awe. They found themselves expecting just as Voldemort was taking over the Ministry and fled to Janine's family in Ireland to wait it out. Now they reside just outside London, Janine working as a barista yet again while Karl manages a small bookshop.
