Character History:
Alice Lexington was born a halfblood witch on the night of December 1st, 1998 in London as a light snow fell. She was the firstborn child of Warren, a muggle, and Eliza, a pureblood witch, who were both overjoyed to welcome their first daughter.

Alice was a happy child and loved spending time with her parents and her tabby cat, whom she called Olive. She was raised in London and loved going for walks to see the shops and going to the park. However, Alice loved nothing more than stories. She would constantly ask her mother and father for stories whenever she had the chance. She showed her first signs of magic early at age five when she began levitating crayons whenever she drew pictures.

Due to Alice's happy childhood, full of stories and wonder, she never noticed her parents growing apart in her youth. When Alice was six years old, her father left her family just after finding out that Eliza was pregnant again. He was too overwhelmed by the prospect of another magical child after already having a magical wife and daughter and in turn returned to live in the Muggle world. Alice and her mother were devastated by the loss but remained close in order to get through it.

Alice's little sister Alexis was born in early spring after a trying set of months following the departure of her father. The birth coinciding with the rebirth of nature in the spring served as a sign of a new beginning for their family. Alice loved her little sister more than anything and was happy to welcome her into the world.

Eliza began homeschooling Alice soon after Alexis was born, teaching her to read, write, paint, and other important hands-on skills. Through this, Eliza noticed that Alice had trouble reading and writing, and Alice was eventually diagnosed with dyslexia and mild dysgraphia. Alice took this in stride, though, and maintained most of her early learning and knowledge through speaking and listening, which helped her develop an excellent memory. Above all, she held onto stories, for the stories in her mind were always a safe haven.

When Alice was eleven years old, she was accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Alice loved the atmosphere of Hogwarts and was entirely excited to learn magic and all of the stories that the amazing castle and the people there held.

Unfortunately, Alice's school years have been moderately troublesome for her. Though she was very intelligent, Alice's dyslexia and dyspraxia proved to be setbacks in her reading and writing at school. However, Alice was determined and worked hard to work through her disabilities in order to be successful at Hogwarts. She tried to hide her difficulties and hated to ask for help despite the fact that she knew she needed it sometimes. When she needed help, she would only go to professors she felt comfortable with and trusted.

Because of Alice's difficulties with reading and writing, she often felt moderately nervous and timid in classes and around other students. She did her best to hide her disabilities as much as she could, as she felt embarrassed when the was having trouble trying to write an essay or switched syllables in spell incantations. She knew that these did not take away from her intelligence or who she was, but it didn't stop her reservations over it.

At Hogwarts, Alice's favorite subjects were Charms (despite being one of her most difficult), Care of Magical Creatures, and Potions. She also took Muggle Studies, as she thought learning about the Muggle world might help Alice understand why her father left them in favor of the Muggle world and maybe even lead her back to him one day.

Despite the trials that Alice has seen throughout her life, she has tried to remain optimistic, patient, and kind. Sadness occasionally takes her, causing her to withdraw herself and stay distant. Above all else, though, she has never lost her love or attachment to stories. They served as a constant for her and remained an adventure for her to always seek.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? As she is compassionate and tries to see the best in people, Alice is saddened by the harsh treatment of the Death Eaters in their families. She believes in justice, but she sees the punishment as far too severe.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Alice's family was relatively unaffected by Voldemort's reign, as Alice nor her sister were yet born, her father was a Muggle, and her mother was a pureblood. Eliza and Warren kept their relationship quiet in order to prevent Eliza of being a blood traitor.

Family History:
Eliza North met Warren Lexington when they were only nineteen years old. Two years into their relationship, Eliza revealed her magical nature to Warren. He was accepting at the time, and soon after, they became engaged. They married in January, and a few months later, Eliza became pregnant with Alice.

Eliza and Warren were both loving, caring parents, but after being moderately immersed in the culture of magic, Warren became too overwhelmed at the prospect and left the family after finding out that Eliza was once again pregnant. The idea of having two magical children as well as a magical wife was too much for him to handle, and retreated back to the muggle world. Eliza, while devastated by the loss of her husband, remained a loving and supportive mother to her two daughters, who looked up to her above all else.

Hey! Your application is perfect, however administration sorts students so if you could just remove the part in her history where she was sorted into Gryffindor; then she will be all set to accept!
