Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Standing at 5’7, and at 117, this slender girl has dark hair and matching dark eyes. She walks with her head held high, shoulders back with confidence. She will crack her knuckles when she is nervous or uncomfortable. Her facial expressions give her true emotions away as when she is irritated, she really doesn’t see the point in lying about it. She is athletically built.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Skills: Quidditch (specifically, Chaser and Beater positions), Dueling, Dancing (much to her displeasure), Muggle football
Weaknesses: Cooking, Herbology, COMC
Positive Personality Traits: Trustworthy, understanding, adventurous, straightforward, logical, ambitious, competitive, reserved, thinks of all scenarios before she acts in most cases
Negative Personality Traits: Stubborn, impatient, deceitful, blunt, distrustful of others. Isabella always feels the need to prove herself. She absolutely hates being told what to do and she hates ignorance, prejudices, hypocrisy, feminism, and disorganization (though, she can be disorganized at times), selfish when needed, cocky
Hobbies and Interests: Running, flying, charms, transfiguration, muggle football
Character History:
Isabella was born into a loving, Italian family. In this family, family was highly important. Her parents were both well off, despite the troubles that were on the up rise, allowing Isabella to never want for anything in her life. Her two older brothers had been adopted right before she was born, which she hadn’t known until she was 12, but that didn’t change her love for her brothers. They pushed her to keep up with them, making her to be rather competitive and athletic. She grew up playing whatever sports they could find together, pushing each other to excel. In Isabella’s mind, anything less than winning is a failure.

One of the more annoying things that her father would tell her was how much she reminded him of his sister, the one that abandoned their family. He hadn’t meant any ill-words behind this, just stating a fact. This was something that typically bothered Isabella greatly, not wanting anything to do with that woman.

The only family member that Isabella holds a strong distaste for is her Aunt Persephone, who had seemingly abandoned the family. Having been promised that the woman would have been at the station to see her off to Hogwarts, she was incredibly disappointed to see that her aunt was not a person to keep her word. This caused Isabella to not want anything to do with her aunt, even though her mother attempted to tell her to be understanding.

Finally, the summer before Isabella went for her fifth year, her younger brother, Timothy, was killed in a muggle car accident, getting hit by a drunk driver. She had taken her younger brothers to the muggle park so that they could kick around a muggle football, something that her father had gotten them into so that they were associating with the muggle world. Her older brothers were going to meet them later. Isabella had been distracted, racing Eliot down the street when they heard the accident. As they had left their wands at home, due to being in the muggle world and actually wanting to completely blend in, there was nothing they could do as they watched her younger brother die in her arms. This was another event that caused the distaste that Isabella held towards her aunt to increase as her aunt showed up for the funeral but left in a haste, irritating the entire family as it showed where her loyalties had lied.

Although this accident was rough on the entire family, it had brought Isabella even closer to her brothers as they each protected each other even more. Isabella, especially, seemed to push herself into extracurricular activities of any kind that would keep her busy, continuing in her determined seclusion. Her brothers hadn’t pushed her outside of the anti-friendship thing as they had figured she would have grown out of it through time, though by the time they started trying, she was already set in her ways.

At the beginning of her sixth year, Isabella ran into a Gryffindor student at the Quidditch pitch, forming her first friendship at the school as well as blind love interest. This one friendship began to open her up to more friendships, believing that it wouldn’t be the end of the world to actually have other people in her life besides family. Unfortunately, that relationship was not meant to be as she found out that he was betrothed. Depressed that she finally opened up to someone, only to lose them, she met the cunningly attractive bloke, Evan Hurst, not knowing about his reputation. Convincing her to give him a chance, they began to date, much to her friends and brothers distaste, feeling that the bloke was simply using her. Evan had wanted someone easy, and Isabella had wanted the chance to get over her first “love”. During their time together, she quickly found that she and Evan had more in common than she had originally thought, finding that she actually liked him (though, she didn’t know that at the time). Apparently, the Gryffindor had managed to get out of his betrothal, as his betrothed had wrote to Isabella. Fortunately, Evan was the one to retrieve the letter and hid it away, for reasons unknown to either of them at the time. A few days later, just before break, Evan put Isabella in a situation, causing her to break up with him immediately. The next day, she found out that the Gryffindor had been freed from his betrothal, starting to date him. They dated over Christmas break at Hogwarts during her sixth year when Isabella broke up with him at the end of December.

It was January first when Isabella had been out with Cecilia, thankful to be out with her best friend to get away from drama for a bit as the Gryffindor had quickly become really emotionally attached to Isabella, making her rather uncomfortable. When arriving home, she entered inside, seeing her mother lying flat on her face. Wide-eyed, she carefully examined the rest of the home to see that the rest of her family had been murdered, a horrid message staining the wall, indicating that her family had been murdered because of their blood status.

This funeral had been the hardest that Isabella had to attend, though she grew even angrier with her aunt that was to take custody of her. She had wanted to refuse the woman custody, but she hadn’t really wanted to argue that at the moment, far too tired to care all that much. In all honesty, she doubted the woman would have even come. This was proven true as her aunt didn’t even have the decency to show up to her own brother’s funeral, making Isabella view this as the woman’s last straw.

Upon returning to school, Isabella attempted to push away her closest friends, Cecilia and Evan (who she had since befriended, convincing him that they had more of a friendship than anything, though he was against friendships). This was quite the unsuccessful attempt as it was impossible for her to turn away her best friend, and practical twin. Shortly thereafter, she had started to date Evan again, them both realizing and accepting that they had actually liked each other, despite their not so noble beginnings.

This tragedy of losing her family to radicals drastically impacted Isabella, though she is still uncertain where she is supposed to be standing. Her family had been pro-equality and fair treatment, which was where she stood, but they were killed by the very people that they never harmed. To Isabella, this was implying that even if she were to stand with the muggle-borns and half-bloods, that they would turn on her because she wasn’t like them. However, with her boyfriend and best friend being half-bloods, she is struggling to find a balance of what in the world she is supposed to believe and stand for.

Then, to make matters even worse, her aunt showed up, finally, with some Russian bloke that she had apparently married. Though, Isabella wasn’t so certain she even believed that the bloke was a real husband, but just some prick tasked to babysit, which was irritating. While at school, Isabella avoids her aunt, now a professor, like she’s the killing curse, wanting nothing to do with the woman.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Isabella is against the treatment of death eaters and their families, irritated that the treatment is so demeaning. She thinks that those who had been determined to have been causing trouble should have more understanding consequences. Though at the moment, she’s confused about how to go about this, wondering if there really is no hope for a balance.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Isabella herself hadn’t been alive for the reign and death of Voldemort, though she had heard stories from her parents about the terrors of his reign.

Family History:
Giovanni met his wife Bertina at school. She had been the best friend of the girl he had dated for the lengthy time of two years. Though he hadn’t liked Bertina like that at the moment, she had been someone that he drew close to after his break up with his longtime girlfriend. She was someone that he trusted with his life and loved dearly, except he hadn’t known it at the time.

Finally, he decided to ask her on a date and they married a short seven months later. Shortly after marriage, they had come to the knowledge that she was unable to bear children. As family was highly important to the both of them, they quickly made the decision to adopt, hearing of a woman who had a child on the way. Bringing home their first child, they anxiously and excitedly prepared for parenthood. A short couple of months later, they had heard that the same woman was pregnant again. Not wanting to keep the siblings apart, they immediately set out to adopt the second child, bringing home their second bundle of joy. It was right after they brought home their second child that they heard that the mother was pregnant, a surprise to the pair.

During school, Gio was quite the busy-body as a Gryffindor. He was constantly getting in trouble with petty pranks, though he was really focused on his beater position at Hogwarts. His love for the sport transferred over to him being a Beater on the English National Quidditch team before taking the position of Head of Department of Magical Games and Sports when he and his wife decided to start a family. Bertina, on the other hand, had never attended a Quidditch game but was really focused on her studies and artwork. After graduation from Hogwarts, she was hired as a photographer for The Daily Prophet, her dream job as she got to take adventures with the Editor.

Giovanni comes from a large Italian family that doesn’t understand anyone pushing aside family. At the leave of his sister, Persephone, Giovanni took it hard, not understanding why she needed to abandon her family to go to such a cold location. Even worse, it had seemed that Persephone hadn’t ever visited, except for showing up at a funeral for their son, only to quickly leave. This specific event pissed off Giovanni as he refused to even send letters to her anymore, not wanting her around his family if she was going to put her work first.

Bertina was born to a decent size family, though the family hadn't been nearly as close as they all grew up, getting busy with the life moving by. They didn't hate each other, but life just took precedence. Despite the stark contrast of family lives, Bertina absolutely loved her large and growing family, even with all of the potential drama it invited. She had attempted to push Giovanni into forgiving his sister, with absolutely no luck as stubbornness seemed to be a DiTraverso trait.

This DiTraverso family is pureblood to the core, though they do believe that equality is a must. They have trained their children to be able to function in both of the muggle world and the wizarding world, finding that to be highly important in this day and age.
