Character History:
Paisley Brielle was born in North Pole, Alaska to Hadley and Jude Wyatt on their first Valentine’s Day together. Unfortunately, this day of tremendous happiness, brought about tremendous grief, costing the life of her mother. Young Paisley was the belle of the small town, making friends with everyone and helping out whenever she could. Always with a smile on her young face, she ensured that everyone felt treasured and loved even if she hadn’t had a mother anymore. Family was more than just the people that someone was born into, but it was about learning to love everyone as if they were family and it was very much something that Paisley adored. When Paisley was four years old, she fell off of a tree that she had climbed to help a cat out, only to break both of her legs and one of her arms. After driving her to the town hospital, it was discovered that Paisley had congenital analgesia, an insensitivity to pain meaning that she could not feel physical pain. This had brought great worry to her father after speaking with the doctors after hearing all of the things that they would have to implement so that they could ensure she was going to live a long life. The day after bringing Paisley home from the hospital, her bones healed magically, though it was never discovered just how quickly because of her insensitivity to pain.

Paisley was always a quick study, curious about everything around her and seeking to attain knowledge. According to what she could find of her mother’s, she was the same way. Paisley and her best friend and neighbor at the time, Charli, were the little sleuths of the town, sneaking into forbidden places and trying to discover whatever secrets they could find of the town and its people, much to many people’s dismay at the young and wise-for-their-age girls. Paisley and Charli were inseparable until Paisley turned 11, receiving a letter in the mail from a school in Salem, Massachusetts.

Before Paisley attended the school, Paisley and her father were closer than ever, doing nearly everything together. Her father would teach her a lot of the things that men would do, merely because he would rather go fishing than braid hair. Fishing trips were Paisley’s favorite and she is proud to state that she can tie any knot that a person needs. Camping was another favorite of the father and daughter, taking the time to go with some of the others in the town to remote places and trying their hardest at surviving.

When Paisley received her letter, she had been absolutely ecstatic, though that was not the same reaction of her father. He didn’t want his only daughter to go across the country to some school to learn about magic, something she would inevitably be made fun of about. He forbid his daughter to go, putting his foot down with the knowledge. This brought a wedge between the pair as she really wanted to attend, not understanding his complete refusal to even consider the possibility. Begging every day, Jude would not budge until Paisley went to her grandparents, his parents. As confidently as possible, she created a presentation about why they should allow her to go, winning over her grandparents support. This incident, to Paisley, is the indirect correlation behind her father’s later death, to be explained in the Family History. Now with her grandparents as the young pre-teen’s guardians, Paisley left for Massachusetts, set out on learning about the gifts that she had been given. Slowly, her relationship with the people of her town dwindled down as her eyes opened up to the rest of the world, finding that she didn’t want to stay in such a small area. With her ambitious self, after graduation from Salem Institute, Paisley went straight to a muggle university, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Counseling before she was 21, followed by her Master’s before she was 23, and then finishing with her Doctorate at 27. For the past half of a decade, Paisley had been working at a private counselor’s office, volunteering when possible and sitting in when allowed as well as volunteering at Salem Institute to work with the younger kids and teenagers whenever possible.

During this time, Paisley had married a bloke that she had met from a neighboring wizarding school, Cole Thompson. After he had graduated, he became an auror for the department, finding that to be his calling as all of the men in his family had been aurors as well. Cole was just as ambitious as his now wife and they were happily married, loving every moment that they shared. Family night was something that Paisley and Cole very much integrated into their relationship, set on making their relationship be the one that succeeded. When Paisley was 22, they discovered that the woman was expecting, giving birth shortly thereafter to their son, Brock Wyatt. They had a year of bliss after Brock’s birth, loving their little growing family before tragedy struck. It was a warm day in August when Paisley was cooped up at the library trying to finish a paper for one of her classes while Brock and Cole remained at home. As the story is told, a few of the family members of a man that he was responsible for capturing wanted payback for ruining his life. Showing up at their house, both Brock and Cole were murdered, their bodies then being burnt up in a fire in their small home.

This fueled Paisley’s desire to obtain her doctorate so that she could understand people more. Going back to live with her grandparents in Alaska, she finished her doctorate while reconnecting with old faces. She also worked as a counselor on the muggle telephone, helping people out of tough situations. This helped her during her own mourning process, being able to understand the heartaches that she was hearing about. The mourning process had been difficult for Paisley as there were days that she just wanted to cry all day, but she knew that that was not the plan for her life. With the knowledge that she had been blessed with, and the love that had been born into her heart, she was set on trying to help out as many people as possible, despite any circumstance that she was brought through. Seeking out a change to an area that needed it the most, Paisley moved to London, England, putting in her application for working at Hogwarts, anxious to be working with children that were the faces of their future.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Paisley does not support it in the slightest. It is not right, this treatment, and she will not have for it.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Paisley didn’t really know much about magic, but after hearing about Voldemort and all that he did and was doing, her heart had broken, wanting to put her mind to use to work with people who suffered from negative mindsets.

Family History:
Hadley Peak had been a foster child in Las Vegas, left on the porch of a church when she was just under a year old. She had spent a good portion of her days being moved between foster homes, each overflowing with children that appeared to be just as unwanted as she had been. When she was 16, she went to live on the streets with a few of her friends, not wanting to burden someone else. Armed with her love for art and her curiosity for how the world worked, Hadley felt that she was going to be someone someday. She was convinced that even though her parents didn’t want her, and even though the homes she went to didn’t want her, she was going to be someone…even if her friends laughed at the thought. One day while she was painting in the park when she was just about 20, a young man came by and she painted him. They struck up a conversation and that was the first meeting that she held with Jude Wyatt, finding herself wanting to get to know him more.

Jude Wyatt had grown up his whole life in North Pole, Alaska, a small town with only a little over two thousand people. It was the home that he loved, though he wanted to see more of the world. One day, he and some of his friends wanted to venture down to Las Vegas to see what the city life was like, and this began their road trip. A few days into the trip, he found himself taking a walk in the park before spotting a young woman painting. Grinning, he walked over and asked for her to paint him just to see if she could. After they struck up a conversation, the two spent the rest of the afternoon together and then that night, drinking with his friends. The next morning, the pair woke up very much married and very much confused. Wanting to do the right thing, but not quite sure what that was, Jude left it up to Hadley if she wanted to stay married or not. Believing that anyone could make it work, Hadley and Jude stayed married, moving to Alaska, before soon finding out that they had been pregnant.

During the final part of the pregnancy, Hadley was continuously sick, her body weakening quickly. She knew it was going to kill her to give birth, but she loved her daughter so much that she couldn’t bear to save her own life but much preferring to give their daughter a chance. She prepared all of the documents that she could for her daughter so that she would know her mother before she died just after giving birth to Paisley. Jude had been distraught at first, but he loved their daughter more than anything, wanting her to have everything she ever wanted. He encouraged her in all areas, except when it came to magic as magic was trying to take his daughter away from him. After leaving the house in a heated argument with both his daughter and his parents, Jude recklessly drove a vehicle, spiraling out of control and hitting a tree, dying on impact.
