Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Henry has brown hair and eyes, looking absolutely adorable (certainly in his aunt's eyes). He is currently in a bit of a growth spurt and promises to become rather tall. His features resemble his father's a lot, but he has the slightly darker complexion of his birth mother - who he's never met.

Character History:

Henry was dropped off by his father on Aunt Gigi's doorstep when he was just a baby. He has no idea who his mother is and has never had the opportunity to meet his father. Aunt Gigi is the only parent he's known, and he did call her Mama for a time until he understood things better. His aunt keeps the place of a parent in his heart, though.

His magic presented itself only when he was almost 7. He fell out of a tree (to his aunt great shock as he had climbed it when she had not payed attention for a second), but landed on his feet completely unharmed. Afterwards, he got in the habit of clambering up trees just to jump from them though he woud be careful that his aunt wouldn't see him. He's been looking forward to Hogwarts ever since he heard about it. This excitement is slightly dampened recently as he suspects that something is not right (or at least that Aunt Gigi thinks something's not right).

His father has recently been released from Azkaban because of the new ruling body though Henry hasn't been told yet. His whole short life he has wished and feared to meet his biological parents. He isn't entirely convinced by Aunt Gigi's attempts to redeem his father (though he does want to believe her), but she also told him that Azkaban was a place for bad people and Azkaban is where his father has been for Henry's almost entire life. And of course, he wonders why both his parents didn't want him and who his mother could be. The note his father left with him is his most treasured possession as it is his only relic of direct contact with a parent.

Plots and Politics
What is your character’s stance on the recent takeover of the Ministry by Death Eaters? What? Death Eaters are the bad people right? Aunt Gigi says they're the bad people, but we shouldn't judge them too harshly because some of them are just misunderstood and hurting. They do bad things though, and Aunt Gigi says our family comes from Muggles so the bad people don't like us very much.

Where did your character stand in the treatment of Death Eaters and their families under the late Minister Durant's rule? He's 11, he didn't really understand any of it nor did he know much about it.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? His father was in his first year during the Battle of Hogwarts, but otherwise not affected.

Family History:
His aunt did it for him: The Blanchet line had never been pure, started by a Muggleborn wizard in 1854 when he married another Muggleborn witch. They had several sons, one of whom even married a Muggle. The line continued on, however, and then came Francois, Henry's paternal grandfather.

Francois was a mellow sort, hardworking and generous. He and Rosabella Ricci met at Hogwarts their first year as both had been sorted into Hufflepuff. They became fast friends, and their classmates often teased that they were joined at the hip and practically married already. Not that either of them took it to heart because they were just friends, and Ew! We’re like siblings! All the same, they did try dating in their sixth year but quickly concluded that while they were a great team in all other aspects, they just didn’t work as a couple.

After they graduated, Francois and Rosa figured it’d be easier for both of them if they just got a flat together and split all the bills. So that’s what they did, and it worked surprisingly well. Of course, some people thought they were a couple and neither of them really saw the point in trying to correct the assumptions. Then there was the night they both got a little too drunk and ended up falling into bed together just to see what it was like. Nine months later brought Nicholas into the world. They said it wouldn’t happen again, but barely a year after Nicholas was born, it did.

The two of them still remained friends, though they agreed that it would be best to share custody and bought a house just outside London where they could all live together. They died when Henry was about two years old.
