Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Mikhael or Michael as he prefers stands at 6’2”. He has very, very striking features including the classic chiseled jawline and cheekbones which high but that only adds to his attractiveness. The fact that his features are defined so precisley really accentuates his brown eyes and if the light hits them right they can really standout and (excuse the pun) but they can be very eye catching. He keeps his hair naturally black and often it is short, however if he grows it tends to end up curly. He is very fit and often can be found working out in his down time and maintains a slim frame and has a high muscle to fat ratio. The wizard includes Michael has his left arm from elbow his elbow down to the back of his hand tattooed. His ink includes flowers, a wolf, an owl and (ironically) a lion.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Skills: Boxing, cycling, Transfiguration, Good conversationalist and articulate writer. He’s a fairly decent chess player. Mik says he’s very much a people person. He’s good at engaging with everyone regardless of who they are and he can be very convincing but he’ll draw the line at manipulation. He’s fluent in Russian and Slovak and he knows a little Polish, all picked up from his extensive travels from his time as a teen until now.
Weaknesses: Though he likes to say otherwise, he can’t feed himself, in other words he can’t cook. Mik has always gone by on food provided by his family or by the elves at school or after school eating out at a pub or eatery. He’s got a big sweet tooth, he also can’t stay away from sushi and devours it easily.

Character History:

Nathaniel and Natalia welcomed their first child, a boy they named Mikhael in early September 1990 at St Mungos. Understandably being their first child he enjoyed a lot of their attention in his early years. Mikhael being deemed the heir from the day he was born never had to want from anything. He had a handcrafted crib made for him and the best toys his parents could get for him. He was a happy child, sure he threw the odd tantrum from time to time but that was a given with any baby. He went through the stages of development as if it was on time. His first words included “No”, “Up”and “Bye”. When he was older he only then started to call his parents “mother”and “father” instead of the more casual “Mummy”and “Daddy”.

As he grew up, he was exposed to a lot, he got used to watching his father and his father taught him the basics of magic. Mikhael was homeschooled and took a liking to studying the stars and learning how the planets moved and Joe objects changed their shapes and basic wand movements. As a child Mikhael could be found tinkering with a telescope or pouring over a book after he had learned how to control his magic of course. When Reyna was old enough, he took it up on himself to play with her and the two of them had a close bond.


However the same could not be said for his relationship with Astrid. It was commonly put down to their age gap. Mikhael did love his youngest sister, he just couldn't connect with her. He was happy for his two sisters to go off to ballet while he stayed back at the manor and did his own thing.


The time came for Mikhael to attend Hogwarts and he started there after being sorted into Slytherin. The wizard quickly gained friends and took to learning all he could like a sponge. He struggled a little with subjects like Herbology and Potions at first but during his first year he managed to get by with both subjects.

When his parents found out that Astrid was in fact a Squib and subsequently told him and Reyna he was upset. Mikhael had had faced very few bumps in the road until now and this just weakened his relationship with his sister considerably.


The decision was made that they would move for fear of hatred amongst the pureblood society while Astrid would now live elsewhere. This resulted in their other two children transferring to Durmstrang in 2006. Mikhael settled in well at Durmstrang given that he was in his fifth year but whenever he spent time at home he felt like things were missing...his sister's absence was very noticeable but he had no inclination to reconnect with her, instead he knew where she was and it was better for her to be there and he was satisfied with that.


Mikhael was not overly popular at school but he was not an outcast either. His surname saved him from that at least. During his time at Durmstrang Mikhael played Quidditch but not to the extent that he ever saw himself playing the sport professionally. He likes to fly but would pick apparating or travelling by floo to go from place to place.


After graduating Mikhael had weighed up his options between going to study or becoming an auror because he was really passionate about bringing people to justice. He went on with the latter and started his training. Upon completing his training, the wizard transferred to work in the British ministry, where he remains today.

Recently he has become engaged to Amelia Zabini which was pushed forward by her father Blaise Zabini, given the history between both families that this may bring about some unification between them.

Plots and Politics
What is your character’s stance on the recent takeover of the Ministry by Death Eaters? He honestly believes it's about time. Mikhael beleives the rightful people are now in charge and that is the way it should stay

Where did your character stand in the treatment of Death Eaters and their families under the late Minister Durant's rule? He was not in the UK for most of the treatment they experienced under the former Minister and his regime but had he been here, he would have been against it. Mikhael is a purist through and through and he fully supports their views even if he doesn't vocalise it as often as others his age do.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? He was still very young when Voldemort was killed and so he came to hear about it when he was older from his parents. Mikhael himself was largely unaffected by his family was.

Currently related directly from the Black, Crouch, Warrington and Van De Veld families, the Travers Family was once proud of calling itself one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight - a group of families whose blood was considered extremely pure.
The English line (a very distinct difference) faltered early on, when the title of heir went over Albert Travers head immediately when he opted to join the Death Eaters and denied his parents' wishes to remain married and faithful. Although they happily believed the word of the Dark Lord, they wanted their family to remain on the sidelines so that the line could continue.

Albert married a pureblood American witch by the name of Alice Lionel, and after giving birth to their son, Nathaniel, the woman passed away. Nathaniel was raised by his grandfather, Alexander, for the most part, as his father was in Azkaban, where he was ultimately reminded that he should keep the line pure when he got older. After Hogwarts, the man met and married Natalia Krasavinski at an overseas gala, and they hit it off immediately. They were married within months, even with the luxury of not having arranged marriages. The pair ultimately loved one another and had three children together.

2) Also, and forgive my ignorance to the family tree because I don't know for sure, but I'm a little confused how Astrid and Mikhael are siblings when Astrid's play-by is a caucasian and Reece King is... maybe mixed? Or is Astrid mixed too and they just took after different parents? Just am confused!!

2) Mikhael and Astrid don't have different parents, but they are mixed race, his grandfather is black.
