Appearance and Personality
General Appearance: Amaris is quite a reserved person when someone was to first meet her. She is quite private about her life, and can come off as a bit untrusting and tense. It is because of this that she walks very quietly and quickly, always very aware of her surroundings. When is she nervous, she fidgets quite a lot, whether she is touching her hair, picking at her nails, or cracking her knuckles. She is 5'5", 115lbs and slender. She has long, wavy, dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Skills: Her alcohol tolerance is almost unbelievable, though this is also due to her being a werewolf. She is incredibly organised, and always keeps her and Dorian's apartment clean. She's very able to just quip back jokes easily, but that isn't something that happens often. She's tougher than she looks, and is able to brush off a lot of the rude people that treat her badly due to what she is.
Weaknesses: Although she used to be very strong-willed, pre-incident, she is now rather deferential to others. This is mostly due to her at first trying to get people to still like her even though she is a werewolf. However, she is starting to stray away from this more as she accepts that people will always have their judgments. She's not good at Potions-making. Amaris is also uncomfortable in almost all surroundings and is paranoid.

Character History:

Amaris was quite outspoken during her school days, and had a lot of friends. She was in Gryffindor House, and was known by a lot of people simply because of her personality and how easy it was to get alone with her. She particularly liked to flirt, more jokingly than anything, with a lot of blokes at Hogwarts. She enjoyed Transfiguration, and was not good at all at Herbology or Potions. A lot of people knew her at Hogwarts through her brother as well, who was old enough that their paths really didn't cross much at Hogwarts, but having the same last name stuck. Both of their loud and captivating personalities attracted people to them, another reason that people always realized that they were related.

However, after Amaris graduated from Hogwarts, she had plans to work at the Ministry, but wanted to travel a bit first. It was because of that, unfortunately that she ran into Fenrir Greyback during her travels. She liked the outdoors, and had simply been exploring one night when the on-the-run werewolf came across her on a full moon.

After 'the incident,' her personality and life shifted a bit off course. She went back home, had to register with the Ministry, and her parents disowned her, and so she immediately left again. She left London, not wanting to be around her family when she was a danger to them, and travelled around a lot. It was clear to her soon after that her brother was trying to find her, which only made her more determined to stay away, as i wasn't safe for anyone to be around her. She went from place to place for a few years, but Dorian finally came across her in Thailand and made her come back home.

She did so, reluctantly, certainly not feeling as though it was safe for him to live with her, or that it was fair to put him through all of what she would have to deal with. This proved true very quickly, as it was incredibly hard for her to find work, since her registration with the Ministry came up everywhere she went. She is a lot more reserved now, personality-wise, and is paranoid and untrusting as well. She doesn't like to get close to anyone, mostly for their own good; she doesn't want to put anyone in the position of getting close to her and finding out her secret, feeling bad enough that Dorian has to deal with it.

Eventually, she did find work in Knockturn Alley, though working at an incredibly seedy bar frequented by Death Eaters wasn't something that Dorian was happy about. But she got decent enough tips, and it was there that someone offered to make her Wolfsbane for a cost. The idea of trading sex for Wolfsbane wasn't something that particularly sounded above-board, and was something that would certainly more than likely get her in trouble with the Ministry, but it wasn't as though that was an offer that she could turn down.

Plots and Politics
Where does your character stand in the treatment of death eaters and their families? Because of where Amaris works, she understand just how hard that Death eaters are currently getting it. She also experiences similar judgments and poor treatment as well just for being a werewolf. This makes her able to be empathic about the situation, especially as she talks to Death Eaters often at her job. She thinks that it is getting incredibly out of hand.

How was your character and their family affected by the reign and death of Voldemort? Amaris was very young when Voldemort was gaining power, and thus her parents did not tell her or Dorian very much about it. They lived in the Wizarding world, and remained a bit separate from it for a while. They told their children enough that they were cautious, but they didn't really know the extent of the situation. They were not that greatly affected by his reign, firsthand at least, but they were obviously incredibly relieved when the dark wizard was defeated, even though this eventually led to Amaris getting bitten by Fenrir Greyback.

Family History:

Violetta had a normal pureblood upbringing in the magical world, though her family were ones considered blood traitors due to their sympathies with Muggles and their curiosity about them. She was sorted into Ravenclaw, and was especially curious about the Muggle world. Upon graduation, she went out to live in the Muggle world to see what it would be like. It was there that she met Declan, a Muggle businessman.

They dated for almost four years before getting married, and soon after had their first child, Dorian. Since Violetta had moved to the Muggle world to get away from magic for a while, she didn't tell Declan about magic until Dorian began showing signs of it. It was then that she revealed her secret, which he was obviously very surprised by. It wasn't something that he was able to wrap his head around and accept immediately, but he eventually came to terms with this world that he had never known about before.

Five years later, Amaris was born. They were an ordinary family, really, though Dorian and Amaris bickering a lot more than normal siblings did. This was mostly due to both of their extremely stubborn personalities. Although they clearly loved each other, they were not close siblings and were fighting almost constantly.

That all changed when Amaris got bitten. Her parents did not accept her afterwards, holding the same stereotypes about werewolves that the majority of the magical world did. When Amaris left town, it was Dorian that tried to track her down, even though it took several years. Her parents still do not speak to her.
