The presence in her mind has always been there. Learning and growing along with the girl---a part of her, but distinctly different.

She was meant to be a twin, but her other half died in the womb very early on in Donna's pregnancy. The Parkinsons never knew of the other child. But somehow Kali always knew.

She got the first validation of her feelings from the healer who had treated her mother in France when Kallisto happened to encounter the woman in Knockturn Alley. Donna and Tara were acquiring some potions when Kallisto slipped off and found herself in front of an old woman in a back aisle. The woman recognized her, somehow, and said that she knew why the witch had come. The other half of her...the part that was lost, but never lost--always there. Words came almost like prophecies from the old healer's tongue--burned into the memory of the young woman.

Kallisto keeps the secret of her encounter with old woman...guarding the knowledge as something precious--the key to the enigma of the madness and chaos that sometimes seems to overtake her mind. The conversations she has in her head and the divergence in personality she is able to achieve leads the girl to believe that a part of the other being who she shared a womb with lives in in her. No one else knows of her opinion on this matter.
