Family Name: Bones
Name of Home: Well, it depends on who you ask, really. On official documents and histories, it's Bān-Geard. By those who currently live there, Bones Home because names are for fancy people. By those who know the inhabitants well and feel like making a joke (which happens often), Bonesyard, which is both a direct translation of the official name, and a pun at all the people buried there.
Family Members Residing in Home: (at present) Susan Bones, Agatha Flint Bones, Athazaz Bones, and Carin Finch-Fletchley.

Description of the Home: Located in the Mendip Hills, the most obvious feature of the home is that it's surrounded by a cemetery full of graves of varying ages scattered over a few acres. At some distance from the house is a mausoleum surrounded by a tightly-packed circle of graves.
The home itself has gone several renovations over the years into a slate-roofed brick-and-mortar (very) detached Tudor style . The house has seen high years of disuse, typically after wars, when the Bones family shrinks in population not enough to fill the four-bedroom house, or when Bones decide to leave to escape memories. Sometime in the late 1400s/early 1500s, the mausoleum was fitted with a few small rooms which are furnished with beds and has a (somewhat) working kitchen. Interestingly enough, there are more layers of protective spells on the mausoleum than the house itself, which occasionally leads to living in the mausoleum when danger is suspected.

The inside of the house is roughly clean, and well-lit. The walls are dinged and marked with age and smoke, but it's very obviously a lived-in home where children can enjoy themselves. When the Bones family is larger, there's usually continuous debate as to if the house is two or three stories, as the attic is rather large. Other than the cemetery surrounding it (and the lack of knowledge as to which came first), what is somewhat notable about the home is that in the centuries of existence, Muggle-repelling charms have never been applied to the walls.
