Description: this club has, of course, existed decades before the official founding, though more known by euphasims and far under the gossip radar as a place for young wixen to gather and confide in each other, under several secrecy spells. After the Second War, students decided that they felt confident enough to publicize the existence of the club and combine with the other of the LGBTQ gatherings in Hogwarts, though there are still underground branches that don’t feel comfortable being in an official club.
Additional Information: There’s a spell placed on the sign up sheet that prevents members from speaking or writing about about who is in the club or what was discussed in the club to people outside of the club, unless the student is the Leader to allow for reporting if a member is at-risk, or something needs to be reported.

Description: The entire club takes place in the Black Lake, when the water isn’t frozen over. Inspired by both the Second Task in the Triwizard Tournament and the disparaging comment of underwater basket weaving being useless, the club was formed to partially honor the former and prove wrong the latter. Members eat a ball of Gillyweed and sink to the bottom of the lake, where they weave baskets by hand or with magic. Students also study the lake and learn a sign language to communicate with the merfolk.
Additional Information: Members have to be at least fifteen, have a permission slip signed by parents, and to have passed a swim test.
