This place has isn't a favorite for a lot of people, as it is where bodies are kept when a patient dies, until they are transported for their funeral. Sometimes they are here longer, if there is suspicion or reason for the aurors or Ministry get involved. It is where, obviously, autopsies are performed.

Records Department

Every patient that has ever been in the hospital has a file, and that leads to a lot of files, and those files need a home. The records department is where all old files are kept from past patients. It is kept organized by patient number, for ease of accessing any requested file, and workers there need to deal with that organizing old filing, pulling requests, and adding new files as well.

The basement of the hospital is, obviously, for authorized personnel only. There is no access to this level for patients or visitors. It is where the records are kept, and is also where the morgue is, so obviously it is where employees in those specific departments spend their time. No in-training healers or nurses are allowed in the basement unless accompanied by, or in possession of written permission from, a healer or nurse practicing in the hospital.
