Petra has always been fond of plays, and she’d spent a fair amount of her time back in New York seeing them. She’d get up early on weekends, travel to rush, wait in line for several hour, and leave with twice as many rush tickets as she was supposed to, usually with the help of magic.

While still underage, it had taken trickery at No-Maj theatres and her mother’s name at the Sixth Borough’s theatres. The Wilkinsons had long patroned the arts in the Sixth Borough, and it was perhaps the only legacy Petra might claim to have inherited from Charity’s family. The reddish hair, she liked to think was fully hers and had never cared to find out what it was.

So once they’d moved here, Petra had established her pattern of taking her siblings and what lovers they liked better to shows. It was a simple way to enjoy and evening, and she liked getting to have a grasp on shows before they grew. There was that No-Maj musical about Greek myths she’d known would grow large while it still lived in the National Theatre, that fun one about some queens, and the usual ones.

But Petra wasn’t here to see another No-Maj musical. No, tonight was for something else. She’d gotten only one ticket tonight and it was very much hers. She’d seen the show before but there had been some...there was an understudy tonight for the main male roles, and Petra always liked understudies.

Now, Petra was certainly familiar with Hollow Crown. She’d seen it four times before but tonight was different, and Petra had very much enjoyed said difference. And how lucky was she, that the man next to her had such a distinctive face, matching exactly the one she’d had in a playbill some months ago.

She’d pretend some ignorance, though. It was always more fun that way. “Tonight’s performance was good, wasn’t it?”Petra angled her chin his direction, brows rising and falling in line with her tone. “The understudies really played up the homoeroticism.”
