Minerva would be lying if she said that she wasn’t somewhat worried for her students upon their departure from the school. It wasn’t so much their physical safety she worried about. Their minds were young and impressionable. She wouldn’t be able to keep them sheltered from the prejudiced outside of those stone walls. Some next term she knew some would be misinformed and may even carry some of those prejudices with them back into the school. She had already started mentally preparing herself. While she left the discipline up to the Heads of Houses any issues reflecting what was happening out in the real world would be handled severely. If the Heads of Houses were too lenient she was sure to step in to rectify the situation.

That didn’t matter at the moment. Just like the end of school ball, the end of term feast was a time to celebrate. It was a moment to say fond farewells to those students entering into the adult world and those who had made it through another term relatively unscathed. She stood proudly at the podium as she watched students and staff enter the hall with a light smile taking in the whole scene as it unfolded. For at least one more day those young minds would be safe, and she could only hope they would return untouched when the next term rolled around.

(((When replying please reply as if the hall already has people in it so no one has to be the awkward first person there.)))

The fact that this year was finally coming to a close was quite the relief for Isabella, minus the fact that the summer brought a whole new set of problems that she didn’t want to deal with. And that was precisely what she was going to do. She had purposefully chosen work at an ice cream parlor in the hopes that it would be busy enough to keep her working often, and then she was going to spend the rest of the time with Evan. He seemed to be the only person keeping her sane nowadays, though she wouldn’t go admitting something so sappy. This past year had taken a toll on Isabella, as she dealt with so many issues that came her way. Between losing her second best friend, her undefined relationship with her old best friend, her family unintentionally driving her nuts, and everything in between, she just wanted to take a breather and luckily, Evan allowed that. Turning 17 couldn’t come fast enough, she noted, wishing her birthday had been a few months sooner as she certainly would have tried to get an apartment if she could. Placing an elbow on the table and resting her chin on her palm in a bored manner, she glanced down the table disinterestedly, waiting for the food to arrive.

Bright side? School was over. Not so bright side? School was bloody over.

This year had been different, to say the least. Her time at this pathetic school was finally up and she was finally never going to see any of the annoying faces that she had seen up until this point. The only reason she had continued coming to Hogwarts was because it got her away from home; now, her time was up. With her father out of prison unexpectedly, she knew returning to Hogwarts was not possible. He had really already made that pretty fucking clear. At least her second semester at the school was…entertaining…with Finn. There was no way in hell she would say it, or even allow it to cross her mind, but she supposed she would miss him. He was the only person she met that she didn’t think was a dunce, and he was exactly the person that couldn’t find out about her father…nor could her father find out about him. Tomorrow, their…whatever the fuck they had…would be finished for good. They would go their separate ways before the people in their neighborhood found out their damn weakness. This relationship spiraled out of control and now, they had to pay the damn price.

They saved their best location of christening for last, planning on making real good use of that table in the front later that night. It was a damn accomplishment to shag in every place Hogwarts had before they left the school and now, their list would be coming to a close. Mila knew that Finn didn’t pan on returning, which would mean that even if her father allowed, there was no point in coming back. Glancing in front of her, Mila tapped lightly against the empty glass, waiting for the Headmistress to decide if she had the full attention on her or whatever she was waiting for.

The man had tidied up his office as much as he could since this would be the last time he would be seeing it until September rolled around. The break was very welcome in Samuel’s opinion but part of him worried about what would happen over the summer. It gave the students a chance to do something exciting outside of school but he hoped that they would be safe. In Hogwarts they were isolated and protected from whatever was happening but now they would be out in the wider magical world and would be more susceptible to any trouble. He himself had a few things to look forward to over summer and he hoped that all went off without a hitch.

The Charms professor made his way into the Great Hall and looked over at his house table hoped no lion would decide to start any trouble tonight. They just had to restrain themselves until tomorrow , surely they could manage that. Samuel made his way to the podium at the front of the hall and smiled politely at @minerva. “Hello Headmistress, I trust you are well”

Trey had been doing a fantastic job of making his cousin feel like shit as far as he knew. Not only did he think the little blonde bint was cheating on him, but it had gotten around that they were shagging and he had even taken her up on a broom which she had never let Roman do apparently. That had surely rubbed salt in the wound. This was the last chance he would have to rub this all in Roman’s face before summer holiday began. After this the main event would happen which was what he was more excited for. The next day he would get to meet with her prominent family and woo them which he was sure wouldn’t be a problem in the slightest. He knew enough about those types to make an excellent impression. By the end of that dinner he was willing to bet they would love him, and the girl would be pestered to keep him around, and of course he was already a shoe-in with her biological father as she was well aware of now.

The Slytherin leaned up against the wall outside of the hall with one ankle crossed over the other and his arms folded across his chest as he waited for the Gryffindor to arrive. The stakes would be even higher now that she knew just who he was and what connections he had. He ran with a rough crowd that included her father. He could do even more damage now if he so chose to. A group of girls walked past him giggling as they made eye contact with him. The blonde had been shagging him which meant he hadn’t needed his other slags. It worked to his advantage as now he was ‘off the market’ and bints always wanted what they couldn’t have. When he finally dropped the Gryffindor he wouldn’t have to go far for another few slags to take care of him. He winked at the girls with a grin before turning his head back to the stairs wondering just how bloody long it would take her to get there.

This school year had actually been going… relatively decently, considering. There was the issue that she had been stuck in the middle of with Isabella and Roman, and of course the absolutely devastating loss of Isabella’s family, but it had been uneventful other than that. She had actually been… averagely looking forward to summer as much as was possible—even having friends and a boyfriend as a means to get out of the house, she still had to get out of the house, which was sometimes harder said than done. But then the year had very abruptly turned to absolute shit, and there was very clearly only one person to blame for that. As much as she bloody hated @trey, and she really bloody did, she was the one that had put herself in this damn position to begin with. What she had thought was just him trying to irritate his cousin suddenly became a hell of a lot bigger than that, much to her absolute alarm. Her birthday had been awful in multiple ways; firstly, Trey had made her go flying, probably also to piss off Roman but mostly Cecilia really just thought he got amusement out of the fact that she was terrified of flying. Then, to top of that absolutely horrible experience, he had dropped a damn bombshell on her that she was still trying to work through. Well, no, she supposed it was well worked through; Trey knew her father and she knew exactly what that meant. It put her in even deeper shit than she’d been in, and now she had to be even more wary around Trey since he was apparently more dangerous than he let on. Not that she was afraid of him, obviously, since he was too bloody aggravating for him to ever actually be nervous around him. But she simply had to cautious.

What made this realization even worse was that it meant that this relationship would not be concluding at the end of the school year, as she had originally anticipated. Cecilia had suspected that they would be broken up by the feast, but here she bloody was walking down to the Great Hall to meet him. Her summer was already going to be hellish, as it always was, adding Trey into the mix had meant it was going to be even worse. Somehow her mother had found out that she was with him and had invited him to dinner—originally she wasn’t even going to tell Trey about it because that was the absolute last thing that she needed. But when her plan had failed in convincing her mother not to pick her up at King’s Cross, she had known that the woman would immediately invite him the moment he came into sight and then he would be irritated that she hadn’t told him or something ridiculous like that. So she had, hoping that he would say no, and he annoyingly hadn’t. Rolling her eyes at the thought, she headed down the main staircase, already seeing him leaning against the wall. Cecilia still couldn’t bloody believe that he knew her father, not really believing her poor luck. She should have known this was about more than just pissing off Roman. “Hi, sweetheart,” she stated when she finally had made her way over to him, before reaching up to kiss him on the cheek, if only because there were still people in the entryway that could see them.

It was not very often at all that Evan actually had mixed feelings about the school year being over, normally more than happy to get away for the summer. This summer he was obviously glad to have no classes and to be away from all of the madness in the castle; but there was more madness waiting outside the castle, and he actually had found himself… concerned about that, or something. Evan wasn’t used to having anyone to worry about other than himself, and now he had to worry about Isabella up and getting attacked by some crazed radicals. When it came to that, they were certainly better off in the castle where shit like that couldn’t happen, but obviously that wasn’t an option. And obviously he didn’t want to be at the castle any longer. It was just a double-edged sword, both options having benefits and potential problems. He just knew that he would have to be aware of his surroundings when he and Isabella were ever around people that could potentially be damn assassins or something, which he was capable of doing, clearly. They also had his house to go to, or hers, he supposed, so they would figure it out. Not that he had told Isabella that he was actually worried, since he would feel like a prat actually vocalizing it. He probably would at some point, but for now it seemed like a better idea to just keep that thought in his damn mind.

Evan didn’t even bother focusing in on the couple standing outside of the hall, knowing already who it was. The debacle at the ball had been unexpected, and Evan really hadn’t thought that it would end with Cecilia dating Trey, but he tried to avoid getting involved into other people’s drama. He headed into the Great Hall, seeing that it was already full, which he hadn’t suspected. Really, he had thought that he’d be pretty damn early, but everyone was just anxious to get out of here, apparently. After all, the faster this feast ended, the faster the next day would come and their summers would begin. It only took him a moment to see where Isabella was sitting. “Hey,” he stated, dropping into the seat next to her, a smirk growing across his face, “Excited to get out of here?” He asked, with an amused expression. She probably had very similar viewpoints about it being both a bloody good and bad thing that the year was ending.

Today marked his last day at this absolutely ridiculous school. To him, thinking that was a reminder of just how long he had actually stayed at the place, and it had been far too long. Each year that he returned, he immediately had wondered why he had even bothered to do so. There was absolutely nothing positive about the place, as everything completely irritated him to no end. Magic as a whole irritated him, as people used it to solve their problems and didn’t know how to get by without it. It was an easy way out, and he had never been given any easy ways in the entirety of his life—so he disliked the ones who were unable to see how good off they had it and just proceeded to bitch about anything anyhow. Not that he even wanted the ‘good’ if it meant using magic to solve his problems, which was not something that he was ever going to do. Regardless, he hadn’t known for a single year why he had returned here, and then all of this had started with @mila. Now, she was the only reason that he had even bothered to finish out the school year, or he wouldn’t have come back after the Easter holidays. Of course, he wouldn’t tell her that, bloody obviously, but he knew that this caring bullshit had been the only reason he returned, along with their mission to shag just about everywhere in this school that it was possible to. They would be finishing that up tonight, and then tomorrow they would be done with this arrangement and done with this school. It was for the best, obviously. There was no point in being here any longer.

Finn didn’t bother looking around as he walked through the Great Hall, since there was no one worth looking at anyhow, and just sat down next to Mila when he caught a glimpse of her. There was no problem with sitting with her, even if that was only making this caring bullshit worse, since they had been sitting with each other anyhow… just because, who else were they going to bloody sit with? “Ready for the grand finale?” He asked, with a smirk, before noticing that there was no food in front of them yet. Damn, he had really tried to be late enough to miss the headmistress’s unnecessary speech.

It felt like it was taking the bint forever to get down to the hall. She was on his time and she would learn that soon enough. He didn’t give a damn what she wanted or needed. He wanted to parade her around one last time before leaving. After all she was a nice piece of ass, so it would be amusing to him. He was in high demand and she could be the center of attention. If she didn’t like it that was too bad. They already had an agreement and if she went back on it she would have hell to deal with. Of course it would be made worse at him than at the school. Her family was already expecting to meet him and from what he understood or could assume they probably had high hopes for him being with the blonde. In all reality he was doing her a favor. Of her family liked him that would take more attention off of her in a sense.

He grinned as he saw her coming down the stairs. At least she was nice to look at and a fantastic lay. She would make a perfect trophy wife at some point. Maybe she would get lucky and he would consider taking her completely off the market. Granted that would take a year maybe he would trick her into it. It had been this easy to get her to agree to date him and destroy the ‘normal’ relationships she had left. He arched an eyebrow at her as she approached and spoke. ”Hello yourself, beautiful.” He said smoothly as he saw a group of students watching them from the corner of their eyes. He pressed a soft kiss to her lips when she pulled away from kissing him on the cheek before taking her hand in his. ”Let’s not keep everyone waiting.” He added with a smug smile in place.

Isabella glanced over at @evan when she saw him arrive, smiling slightly. “Hey,” she replied, giving him a look at his statement. “As excited as possible,” she shrugged. She was definitely excited to be getting out of here, but less excited about where she would be going. Really, she just wanted to go to a place that had absolutely no memories of the things that she didn’t want to remember, though she doubted that was a possibility. It was like everyone was expecting her to just bounce back and not be missing her family, content with the other family that she held. Her uncles and aunts and other relatives were all mostly great, but she could already feel herself being suffocated, knowing that she would continue to need to hold herself together if only because having everyone thinking she was glass that was about to crack sounded miserable. Evan was the only one that didn’t seem to drive her mad anymore, giving her that relaxing break from reality and having her realize that she didn’t need to hold herself together when it was just them. He knew her…surprisingly well…and it was quite refreshing when it seemed like no one knew her anymore, family included.

She wasn’t that same person that she was just half a year ago, especially after the death of her family. She wasn’t that little girl that looked up to heroes or traded chocolate frog cards. Merlin, she wasn’t even that girl that avoided people as much as possible simply because she was content without friends. Evan seemed to be one of the only people that was even letting her change, having no expectations on her that she knew of. She was free to become who she wanted, free to grow. Now, she was expected to back track, staying in the past as she walked the halls of that bloody mansion, remembering everything she just wanted to forget. No, she was going to be strong, because that was who she was. This summer was going to be filled with her working and spending time with her boyfriend and trying to stay bloody sane while she lived with her aunt. Isabella knew that her uncles really wanted her to give her aunt a chance, but she saw absolutely no purpose in doing so. It wasn’t that she hated her aunt; really, she didn’t. Isabella simply saw absolutely no purpose in making the relationship work when the woman had left the family many years ago. Decisions had consequences, good and bad, and that was just the way that life bloody worked.

“Bet you I’ll sell more ice cream than you sell Quidditch supplies,” she challenged as she shook her head of her thoughts, grinning as she looked over at him. Might as well start the summer challenges early, she mused, seeing as that would continuously be something that would amuse her about their relationship. The Slytherin was quite certain that in their few months of dating, they probably exceeded the amount of times any other couple, no matter the length of their dating, had ever challenged each other.
